压型板用作工业厂房屋面板、墙板时，在一般无保温要求的情况下,每平方米用钢量约5～11公斤。有保温要求时，可用矿棉板、玻璃棉、泡沫塑料等作绝热材料。压型板与混凝土结合做成组合楼板，可省去木模板并可作为承重结构。同时为加强压型板与混凝土的结合力，宜在钢板上预焊栓钉或压制双向加劲肋。
