酸洗板卷是以优质热轧薄板为原料，经酸洗机组去除氧化层，切边，精整后，表面质量和使用要求（主要是冷弯成型或冲压性能）介于热轧板和冷轧板之间的中间产品，是部分热轧板卷和冷轧板卷理想的替代产品。又叫热轧酸洗板带,是以热轧钢卷带为原料，经酸洗后，表面质量和使用要求介于热轧板卷和冷轧板卷之间的中间产品。与热轧板相比，酸洗板卷的优势主要在于：表面质量好、尺寸精度高、表面光洁度的提高、外观效果的增强以及减少用户分散酸洗造成的环境污染。另外酸洗产品跟热轧产品相比较，由于表面氧化铁皮已经去除，因而焊接较容易，也利于涂油、上漆等表面处理。 一般热轧产品的表面质量等级是FA，酸洗产品是FB，冷轧产品是FB/FC/FD。酸洗产品可以代替冷轧产品做一些结构件，也就是以热代冷。
